Girls make the paper

So this summer the girls got involved in a short art camp and had a really great time. While they were busy making their art masterpieces a journalist showed up wanting to write about their teacher and put them in the paper. The girls were ecstatic to see themselves. Very fun!

Coca-Cola

Last weekend our wonderful Grandpa Winter came for a quick visit and we took him up to Atlanta to the Coca-Cola factory. It was a very cool place and we came out well hydrated with all their coca-cola products. Thanks for the visit Grandpa! We love you!!
Cody in down-town Atlanta. He has been very into his batman cape again and refusing to take it off EVER! It kind of bugs me, but he is cute.

The girls first day of school (ok second, but don't tell. The first day was a little too hectic and I forgot the camera. ) I can't believe I have a 5TH grader and a 1ST grader. How did I get so OLD?!

Aviation Museum

A few weeks back we FINALLY visited the aviation museum here at the air force base where Justin works. The kids enjoyed looking at all the planes and things, however I must admit I was a little hot and bored. If you visit us and want to see the museum, I think you will be going with Justin and the kids- I'll stay home in the A.C. I do, however, need to post these adorable shots of my kids in the cockpits!

Jekyll Island

This year for the 4th of July we were able to go to Jekyll Island, a little island off the Georgia coastline, and enjoy fireworks on the beach. What a way to enjoy the holiday!! We had such a fantastic weekend!
This little boy had the time of his life!!

Cody's version of surfing the waves..

Hard to see, but this is Alexa and Paige boogie boarding....
First vacation including Rocco the dog. It was a lot of fun, but a little more work. Obviously the kids loved it!

Fourth of July outfits.....

When not swimming in the pool or playing at the beach, there were several beautiful bike trails. Cody and Rocco of course get royal treatment..

Weekend Fun

This past weekend we drove over to a fun place called Calloway Gardens here in Georgia. It is an amazing garden of trees and flowers with miles upon miles of bike trails going through them. It was the most beautiful and relaxing ride. Granted it was almost 100 degrees outside, but in the shade it wasn't so bad. (I think I am finally getting a bit used to it) After a hard bike ride they have a lake with a wonderful beach that you can cool down at. The kids had a blast!!

Inside the butterfly coliseum looking at all the beautiful butterflies. They had many fun stops like this along the bike trail.

Go Braves!!!!

For Memorial Day we went to the Atlanta Braves game with a couple of our friends. I must say it was my first major league baseball game and it was quite fun. Alexa was very into it, and the other two had fun with their friends.

Our seats were a little high up but we were under the awning and in the shade the whole time. PERFECT!! Something we will definitely have to do again.
